Are you trying to find your place in Washington, DC but still feel like you don’t quite fit in?
Do you bounce between feeling overwhelmed and shut down—caught between work stress, old trauma, identity questions, or just the weight of trying to hold it all together?
For many people, that stuckness goes hand-in-hand with feeling misunderstood or unseen. Maybe you’ve always felt like a misfit, underdog, outcast, or rainbow sheep—someone whose truth doesn’t fit neatly into boxes. You deserve therapy where you don’t have to explain or edit who you are just to be supported.
I offer therapy for misfits: people who’ve always felt a little different—whether because of your gender, sexuality, neurotype, lifestyle, or just the way you move through the world. I’m here to support you in building a life rooted in self-trust, not shame.
When the world pressures us to mask, please, or perform, we lose touch with our aliveness. I help people reconnect with that spark. My work blends neuroscience, mindfulness, and body awareness with an emphasis on curiosity, empowerment, and lived experience. I’m not here to slap on a label or hide behind a clipboard—I show up as a real person: honest, warm, and grounded in humor.
I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ folks (especially trans, queer, & questioning), kinky and polyamorous people, and neurodivergent clients including those with ADHD, autism, and sensory processing sensitivities. I support clients navigating trauma recovery, relationship shifts, burnout, career transitions, grief, identity development, medical diagnoses, PMDD, anxiety, depression, and existential dread.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Washington, DC, and a National Certified Counselor. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in healthcare and government consulting, taught queer cultural competency courses, and was active in queer community advocacy.
I'm genderqueer, gay, and neurodivergent, and I know how hard it can be to find a therapist who gets it—someone who sees beyond the checkbox. I bring both clinical training and personal lived experience to this work. You’re the expert in your own life—I’m here to walk beside you, challenge the stuck parts, and help you reconnect with yourself on your own terms.
